Toolbars are add-on features to programs that are meant to add new functionality and provide utility to the user. Web browser toolbars are extremely common and may be bundled with software that you install on your PC. If you do not use a toolbar it can end up wasting valuable space in your web browser's program window. Unused toobars should be removed to make room for other informations.

Step 1
Click "Start," "Run" type "cmd" into the text box and press "Enter." The command prompt will appear. If you use Windows Vista or 7 you can press "Start," type "cmd" into the search box and press "Enter."

Step 2

Type "appwiz.cpl" into the command prompt window and press enter. A list of your currently installed programs will appear.

Step3

Search the list for the toolbar or Web addon that you want to remove, left click on it and then click "Remove" or "Uninstall."

Step 4

Search the list for any other program that you installed that made an unwanted toolbar appear, left click on it and then click "Remove" or "Uninstall." Sometimes programs install toolbars that are not added to the program list; deleting the underlying program that created the toolbar can uninstall the toolbar.
