The Sony Playstation2 is a home video game console that has become one of the most successful in the history of video games. With this success has come interesting add-ons for the system, including, among the most useful, one that provides the ability to play games off of a hard drive connected to the PS2 via a USB. Only one official program exists that allows this and it is called HDLoader.

Instructions.Things You'll Need:

•HDLoader

•PS2 game disk

•USB hard drive

Step 1

Turn off the Sony PS2 and insert the USB hard drive into the PS2 USB port. Turn the PS2 back on and insert the HDLoader disk into the PS2 optical drive. The program will start automatically.

Step  2

Select "Install" from the HDLoader main menu and the disk drive will open. Remove the HDLoader disk and insert the PS2 game. Close the drive and the game will automatically be ripped to the hard drive that is connected to the PS2.

Step 3

Remove the disk when the process completes and reinsert the HDLoader disk. Select "Play" from the main menu and a list of your installed games will appear. Select the game from the list to play.
